Rip City at the Movies (August 22nd) - Terrace Theatre
Back for its third year, Charleston’s favorite comedy/variety show Rip City CHS takes over the Terrace Theatre to bring you Rip City at the Movies! A night of short films, sketches, animations, and music videos from (mostly) local filmmakers and artists. And this year we’re partnering with SC Indie Grants, a statewide film grant initiative aimed at fostering growth in the South Carolina Film Industry.
Rip City at the Movies could be described as something like a premiere and a festival but it’s more of a celebration of local creators and enjoying their works on the big screen. Unlike our usual monthly show, there are no live performance elements for this show, it’s all filmed material. Everything seamlessly weaves together through the amazing animations of Opus Thimble.
Submissions are open now through August 1st and anyone can submit.

It’s Rip City CHS at Wit’s End, Charleston’s brand spankin’ new comedy club. We are so excited for this place opening up and making some waves for the comedy scene in Charleston.
We so excited in fact, that we’re bunking up for a 2 night run. Night 1 is a brand new show from Rip City called “Oops! All Improv” which will feature some Rip City favorite performers tossing out the scripts and creating a show based entirely off of audience suggestions.
